East St. Louis, IL (KMOV) - East St. Louis police are investigating the suspicious death of a two year old boy.
His 4-year-old brother is suspected of killing him, and his mother tells News 4 that he was pretending he was a professional wrestler.
Jacqueline Davis says she came out of the shower and found her two-year-old son Jacquion unresponsive on his bedroom floor.
She says her four-year-old son told her and police that he was pretending to be WWE professional wrestler who he watches dominate opponents on the Friday night show.
The 4-year-old allegedly choked his brother with part of a curtain.
Rescuers flew Jacquion by helicopter to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital where doctors treated him in intensive care for four days until he died Tuesday.
Sources familiar with the case tell News 4 that autopsy results could take two weeks and that a police investigation is pending.
The victim's mother says she's convinced exposure to professional wrestling played a part in the tragic murder.
Kay...
1) You should have been watching your kids. If you can give a reasonable explanation why you were not watching your four and two year old children, then the burden falls on who was supposed to watching them. If NO ONE was monitoring or watching four and two year old children then the parents should be charged with child negligence!!
2) You shouldn't blame exposure to wrestling on the death of someone if you the parent let your child watch it. If you didn't let your child watch it then the burden falls on the person who was monitoring what your four year old is watching on television. It sounds like it was an on going matter of watching Smackdown, so this doesn't sound like a one time watching experience or a brief flip through the channel thing.
3) Why is your four year old awake at 8-10 PM?
4) How did your four year old children get a (part of a curtain)? I thought the crash course in parenting was "No drapes lower than what a six year old can reach, including the string thing". Could have sworn that was good parenting knowledge...
5) How long was she in the shower? 15 minutes? 20 minutes? The longer she was in there, the more likely her chances to get charged with negligence are. It's pretty hard to strangle someone in less than what, say give or take FIVE minutes? Unless of course it was pre-meditated by the four year old child to do this as soon as the mother closed the door and turned on the water....which isn't likely.
There's just SO much wrong with that mother blaming wrestling. It's SUCH an easy cop out. She's the child mother, it's her responsibility what her children watch AFTER 8 fucking PM!
Stupid fucks.
