Sarah Maines is standing in the back, she smiles at the camera then speaks. "Hey, this is Sarah Maines, and I am about to be joined by none other then the IWF World Heavyweight Champion, Donzig!"
The door behind her bangs open, and the Hardcore Incarnate steps out with a roll of leather clad shoulders. He adjusts the belt on his shoulder, looking Maines over before he stepped closer. And she smiled again. "Hello, you must be Donzig."
"Clearly they didn't hire you for your smarts." muttered Donzig, then he nodded. And Maines smiled again, continuing. "First of all Donzig let me ask you how it feels to be the First IWF World Heavyweight Champion?"
"How does it feel? It feels amazing, it feels like I have finally proven myself to all those people who said I didn't have what it takes to be Champion! Well, here I am! Holding the IWF Title Belt, and no one can take that away from me! I was the first IWF World Heavyweight Champion, and this time? I wasn't handed it by someone who did everything they could to stop me, I wasn't handed it by some Board of Directors!"
Donzig paused, tapping the belt. "I took it! I took it in the middle of that ring, by pinning one of the greatest competitors in this sport! And the fact that I took it from Croc and the Ringmaster, and ruined their little plans?"
Donzig snapped his fingers, looking at Maines before he finished.
"That makes it better!"
Maines nodded, and then she looked very serious. "But now the Ringmaster and Croc have vowed to make your life miserable as long as you hold the title! And they both will stop at nothing until the belt is Croc's!"
Donzig grunted, rubbing his chin. Then he shrugged his shoulder, adjusted the belt before he leaned forward. "Is that so? Well, they can do their worst! Because they would hardly be the first people in this company to try and destroy me, and they won't be the last. But all of those other people?"
Donzig smiled, raking fingers through his hair. "They're long gone, and I am still here! Ringmaster, I am the IWF World Heavyweight Champion, and there is nothing. Nothing! You can do about it! All of your money, all of your influence, all of your cunning? All of that couldn't put the belt around the waist of Croc!"
Maines nodded, and then asked her next question. "Where do things stand between you and Anthony Jordan?"
Donzig frowned slightly, adjusting the belt again before he spoke. "AJ has said somethings, that I don't get. I sold him out? I didn't have his back? He is the one who let Kash talk him into signing that contract without reading the fine print! He is the one who wanted to be the highest paid Superstar in the history of wrestling, and now he is paying for it!"
Donzig shook his head, waving a hand. "I didn't help him against the Ringmaster? Like me and the Ringmaster are best friends, and I could have somehow brought the Ringmaster around? Sure, whatever, that makes perfect sense. If AJ needs me, he has my number, because I don't know what the guy wants me to say."
Maines nodded, and Donzig shrugged. And then she asked her next question, stepping closer. "Donzig, this week you are booked in a match with three men who are not your biggest fans. The IWF TV Champion, the Wifebeater, Joel Frost, and MJW? Do you think this is a set up?"
Donzig snorted. "Listen, everyone in that match has had their problems with me, and with each other! And that's fine, because we're all going out there for one reason! One reason! And that reason is to win, and Frost and Beater both know I will stop at nothing to win!"
Maines arched a brow. "And MJW?"
"Windsor knows that all Croc is trying to do is sow dissent. MJW knows that everything Croc says is to watch the interest of Croc. If Windsor wanted a title shot? He knows I would give him one." Donzig nodded, adjusting his jacket before he rolled his shoulders. "Everyone knows that when you wear this belt? You're a target, you don't have friends, allies, you can't trust anyone. Anyone and everyone could be a challenger, any one of them could be waiting for you to slip up! And as everyone in the back knows, as everyone in this damned Industry knows!"
Donzig frowned, looking around before he finished. A hand slapping against his belt. "You want to challenge Donzig? Say the fucking word, because I will fucking destroy you! Anyone wants to try me, step the fuck up!"
Donzig tore the belt from his shoulder, holding it out towards the camera. "In the hands of some wrestlers? This is just a prop, something to lift their ego! To some? It's just something to add to a damned list! To me? This is fucking validation, this proves that for the last three years? Everything I said was the truth, that I was the best! And now?"
Donzig shook the belt. "Anyone who thinks they can just walk up and take this away from me? Is in for a bad fucking day, because I will stomp their guts out for even thinking about it! I am Motherfucking Donzig, I am the IWF Heavyweight Champion, and no one! No one, and nothing can change that!"
He slapped the belt across his shoulder, storming off down the hallway as Sarah Maines just watched him go.
