In the past 24 hours, Championship Wrestling Alliance/Independent Championship Wrestling has changed completely. Rumor has it that someone has bought out the company from the "Dravens/Tabors".......Who bought the company? We still do not know, but whoever it was, must be a very wealthy human being. It's been stated that the CWA/ICW would sell for 2.9 Billion Dollars. Who is the Multi-Billionaire who bought the company? We have no idea, but we do know that they switched television companies, and are now under a television contract with "Time Warner" and will air on their "Channel 69". Also, the website, CWA.COM, has been shut down, and there is a new link to federation called International Wrestling Federation. Could the CWA/ICW be changing names? What about the champions? What'll happen to The American Idol Jonas Lee? He holds the CWA Undisputed and British Championship belts, while Crazy Bill was the holder of the ICW Championship. Rumor has it that IWF I:New Beginnings will have a huge main event. Jonas Lee vs. Crazy Bill vs. MJW vs. Croc vs. Donzig vs. Alexis Morningstar in an Elimination Chamber Match. Also, it has been stated that Chris James and Assassin have spoken to "Upper Management" about making returns. Both men would like to face each other in a best of five series. Both men work great together, and could help boost IWF.
This also brings up the question: Who will stay and who will be fired? From what I hear, Chris Cross has been released, while Jesse Ventura has been offered a job. Who will take the lead announcers position? MTMT is what we're told. The IWF is looking to bring in MTMT as their "face" announcer. We've been told that Chris Sonnier however was able to keep his job.
As for wrestlers who have been released: Joey Cash, Jason Cool, STD, Hybryd, and Johnny London were all released.
"Upper Management" has contacted a few wrestlers from the past. Names such as Anthony Jordan, Hardcore Fred, Sheldon Reese, Da Freak, Raodkill, Rod Rage, Chris Smith, and Kyle Heaven have all been offered jobs in IWF. So far, no one has agree'd to come to work for IWF.
What's in the future for IWF? Well, the British Championship has been scrapped. The IWF will have their World Heavyweight Championship and a new World Television Championship. Expect the television championship to be defended atleast every other week.
Possible people to hold the television championship are Mikkey, Jackson Kage, The Baron, or a possible returning Jake Seven. Many would like to see someone like Alexis Morningstar hold the title as they feel he could do wonders for the title.
I'll be back with more rumors as I get them.
