CM Punk is to "straight edge"
When they have him cash it in, he'll do it fair ans square. Unless they can make him a big heel..

the only heel champ we have is Orton. I think (or rather i hope) that Punk will go for him. If Punk was going to stick with ECW then why put the belt on Kane...unless Kane could turn heel, which would be good to see.

WrestleMania was pretty good. Money in the Bank happened a little early, but what was still a great match. Didn't see Punk winning. Hope he doesn't waste the shot on the ECW Title. HBK/Flair was an emotional rollercoaster with HBK doing everything imaginable to make Flair look good. I love the fact that Kane has gold now (he's extremely deserving), but I would have loved to have seen the ECW Title get a real match. Chavo deserved better than that. The RAW title match was way too short, but I loved the shock of Orton winning. I was hoping it would (since it meant HHH wouldn't), but I thought it was impossible. Now I understand why it was so short, though. If Trips won, it would have been a 45 minute match. Mayweather was better than I thought he'd be, but he still sucks on the mic, and the Big Show deserves a lot better than jobbing out to the likes of him. The Undertaker won, as well he should. There was a time or two when I really thought Edge might pull the upset. Pretty good match.

Okay here's my thoughts...
Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels was an amazing match. My and my cousin were marking out the whole thing knowing the last lowblow, the last chop block, the last knife edge chop, the last figurer four, the last...woo...was all coming. What surprised me? We didn't get to see a Flair Flop. I figured Flair would flop when HBK went for his first Sweet Chin and stopped, but instead we got a Figure Four. That's fine too. I was also surprised neither man took a blade job. That's Flairs calling card his whole career, as well as HBKs. And neither of them bled. (NO ONE in any match had a blade job the whole show).
Also, anyone notice who reffed the match? That's right 'Little Naitch', Charles Robinson. Remember his impersonation of Flair in WCW? Yeah. They've been friends for quite some time, so as much as the match was emotional for HBK fighting his idol, it was probably just as emotional for Chucky Robinson refereeing it.
I cried. I kept it to myself, but damnit, I cried. A little teary not like bawling. But that's why I bought the PPV. And it was worth it.
The Money in the Bank was AMAZING. When Kennedy is your biggest guy in the match, you know you're getting a good match. I wish Jeff Hardy was in it, but if he were you know who was winning. I guess it was a blessing in disguise. As I mentioned earlier I called Punk winning, and I was most certianly surprised I was right. He mind as well go after the World Title and Orton since Taker is a face, and Punk against Taker wouldn't exactly be a good feud in my eyes. If Punk finally gets his chance to shine on RAW against whoever the World Champion is, I can guarentee you the WWE will have found their replacement for Jeff Hardy. And if works out as good as I hope? Jeff may have lost his oppertunity for a while.
Matt Hardy coming in was great. A lot of whispers were sasying he would infere and possibly even win, but now I guess we get Matt Hardy against MVP at Backlash which will be good. When Nitro did the moonsault with the ladder, I was sure he broke his wrist when he landed. That was a nice spot. The sunset flip into a super plex was awesome awesome awesome! And of course, the spot of the match was Benjamin taking the spill. If it wasn't predetermined, it might have been better. But still great nonetheless. Kennedy broke character and started laughing, and they took the camera off of him. Carlito's expression was hilarious.
Randy Orton getting the pinfall really surprised me. I was certain that HHH was walking away winner after all these years of losing, especially since he didn't even get to take part in it last year. I was laying on the couch and I almost fell off when the bell rang after Orton made the pin. I thought Cena kicked out, and then realized he didn't and I stared at the tv for a good 30 seconds not believing what I saw. Way to go though. It was a good match. Not as good as XX's Triple Threat, but it held it's own for the length of the match. Oh, and Miami's marching band in ORLANDO made no sense.
Undertaker and Edge seemed...flat. I don't know why I didn't like it. It was a GREAT match. Maybe it's because I don't watch Smackdown but I just didn't like how it worked. The ref bump was ridiculous. (Although Chucky Robinson making a B-LINE to the ring made me crack up. I think he started running during the triple threat...) And the submission finish was also lame. I was sure Edge had it won when he hit the Spear that lead to the submission.
What was really awesome about that match though? Was the fact that Edge has wanted to be a WWE wrestler since he was eight years old. Not only did he become a WWE wrestler? He's becomes one of the elite. Not only has he achieved his dream. HE WAS THE WORLD CHAMPION IN THE MAIN EVENT OF WRESTLEMANIA. Now that's a dream coming true and that's an absolute fact. Im sure that's what lead to the three botches I saw from him. He gets an excuse because he was probably beside himself.
Mayweather impressed me. Not going to lie. He did a lot better than I thought he was going to do, and a piece of me liked the finish. He completely went heel as if wasn't obvious when he was smiling and drinking from his chalous. I didn't see Mayweather losing, and like I said I really liked the finish. Mayweather came off as a real threat. He used his boxing skills, which no one can doubt are the best of the best. His fists are bullets. But the best punch of the night was definitely the last one. If anyone watches a replay, he really smacked Big Show. Show had a nasty black and blue mark on the side of his face (High Definition is amazing) after the match. Props to Mayweather, he impressed.
BunnyMania was digustingly boring and stupid. But what else did we expect? Maria and Ashley are not wrestlers and it showed. Ashley is so rough in the ring, and she can't do a monkey flip to save her life, or take a slingshot. Or do a hurracarana. Or just ughh. The best part of the match was the lights going out. The match was so bad the arena told WWE to finish it. Oh, and Santino impressed again. I love that guy. My name es Santino Mar---IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS! And the boa cracked me up. Lawler interfering was dumb. Especially since he didn't help Maria. All he did was pop Santino. I hate Lawler's involvment in this feud.
I wasn't dissapointed in Finlay/JBL. It was a good hardcore match. I was surprised that Hornswoggle didn't interfere. Or that he didn't turn on Finlay. How great would it be for JBL to use Hornswoggle against Finlay and turn him against him? Maybe that's the plan for this feud, but I doubt it. I hope this feud is over.
Kane vs Chavo was DUMB.
And that's that.

AJ
I appriciate that Taker is a legend and thats that, but why 'should' he win the belt? He one it last year, unfortunately he got injured, but he had still been given a huge spot even though he is an ageing roster member. HHH losses a lot at WM and puts people over on the biggest stage of them all, yet you still act like him winning would have been a terrible thing?
give the guy a break

we all realise that wrestling is fake right?
undertaker losing at mania would create an instant, instant lifetime star out of someone
thats how he should retire, making someone a star

'Taker has half the titles of HHH in a much longer career. A streak at WM (and he's been given plenty of bad matches at the big show) isn't the worst thing in the world. I think Edge is already established. What would it have really done for him?
Luke, I will always despise HHH until he retires. He's entertaining when he wants to be, but 12 World Titles makes me want to vomit. We all know Flair was spouting bullshit when he said Trips was most like him.

why would Flair need to praise HHH? If anything Flair could turn people against him by being a HHH mark. Flair rates HHH because HHH deserves to be rated. I have no issue with the Taker streak, but whether you like it or not, if HHH wanted to cement his legacy year after year he could have pushed to win the big belt on the big show.

I guess destroying the careers of Booker T, RVD, Y2J and Kane is okay. Okay, the first two shot themselves in the foot for drugs, but that was years after Trips squashed them. Even if you chose not to count them, the crimes against Jericho and Kane are unforgivable. Jericho is a completely better all-around performer than 'The Game.' Kane may not be as good on the stick or wrestling as Trips, but the crowd supports (which is big considering how often his career has been sabotaged).
We all know HHH will say he wasn't pinned at WM, then handily beat Orton at Backlash. Don't worry, Luke, HHH will get his...because his wife said so!

I don't see HHH losing at Backlash. That's been his show to win at. But I don't see him crushing Orton. I think it will be a good match, if that's even the plan. I know HHH has rough edges with Punk backstage, and has had the whole time Punk has been with WWE so I don't see a HHH vs Punk feud.

Actually, Trips doesn't do well at Backlash, so I think they reverse that this year. HHH would make Punk the first to unsuccessfully cash in Money in the Bank. Because HHH is totally right about Punk never being able to get over. Man, that crowd was so dead when he won...

i hope he does, its deserving. HHH can put on a match just as good as Jericho can, and more often than not the fans are more into HHH than they are Jericho. Thats the fans choice.
the business is not about being nice a fluffy, you touched on it but RVD was given a huge, huge push and he fucked it. So i guess HHH can walk around and say 'i told you so'. And he would be right. They give Hardy a push and the twat fucks it all up. HHH might not be on the drawing level of Stone Cold or the Rock but he pretty much guarentees a good match and a good draw. He has not always been in favour with the McMahons, infact he was public enemy no.1, but he worked through that because whatever you think, he loves the business and dedicates his life to it. thats what Flair respects.

I could dispute the fans liking HHH more than Jericho. However, I'll counter with: If Jericho enjoyed the pushes HHH had over the years, he'd be as big as HHH is now or probably bigger. It's easy to condition people to accept a guy as the best when it beats you in the face every week for years.
HHH should not break Flair's record. He will, but I wish it wouldn't happen. I won't wish bad on him, but I wish he'd have a conscience and not do it.

You speak of the catch line Flair has ingrained in our heads the past twenty years right? Hogan has 25 World Championships. Flair has 23. Sting has 19.
HHH isn't getting close.
