Yeah, I love it too. Doesn't make it any more popular now. I love Trigun even more, and its popularity has faded plenty.

Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Though the last two episodes made my head hurt.

GTO. And the 12 year old girl in me (back off, Timmy) loves Azumanga Daioh.
Ok, screw you, there's no 12 year old girl involved, Azumanga Daioh's just a good-ass show. And it had an ENDING. You know, a conclusion, something that most anime seems to have never heard of. GTO (and Trigun, but to a slightly lesser extent) had a solid ending as well.

DBZ needs to be left alone! I may become violent after seeing that movie.
What other cartoon could use 12 episodes to set up using one attack? And in those 12 episodes, the total amount of new material viewed was about 2 minutes worth. They knew how to draw it out.

Yeah, five minutes equalled like six episodes on that show.

My interest in Dragon Ball Z dwindled after the first couple of seasons. That said, I don't want moviegoers to just have their preconceived notions about anime (OMG ITS JUST A STOOPID CRAPANESE CARTOON LOL) confirmed by doing a live-action adaptation of a series which is chock-full of shitty anime stereotypes. But I am MUCH angrier by the fact that studios dare shit over the great Akira by doing a live-action version of it. Leave it the fuck alone.
tl;dr: I don't want to see live-action adaptations of anime.

Good point. Then again, it was done by the Japanese, and not some cashed-up failfag Hollywood studio looking to give a niche genre some cross-over appeal. Fact: Leonardo DiCrapio in Akira is not going to do anything but provoke a mass boycott from fans. At least if you're going to do a remake of something so awesome, DO IT FUCKING RIGHT.
