Whitey Ford has suffered a knee injury. While working out, Ford felt a lot of discomfort while doing some squats. After taking a few steps around the gym, his left knee gave up, and he fell down. No specifics are given, but it comes as no shock due to Whitey's knees taking a lot of impact from his style of wrestling. They have always been troublesome for wrestlers of his nature (Rey Mysterio and Shawn Michaels have chronic problems with their knees as well).
Whitey's return wrestling will be pushed back by at least a month, but he has made a play to stay on IWF TV. He's been pushing hard to be Anthony Jordan's manager (or to fill the role Scorpion currently has). IWF is receptive to the idea and has left it up to Jordan to decide. Scorpion has been stating his desire to work more off-screen to test the waters and possibly move up in the federation. This temporary change in status could come very soon.
This is a big blow to IWF as Ford and Jordan were meant to be big players in the Tag Title scene. As it stands now, neither will be a part of it, which doesn't break Jordan's heart as he felt fighting for the titles at this point wouldn't work well for him and Whitey.
