THis was a good movie!
I'm glad they decided to make a 4th one. However, some of it was kinda far afetched.
They went VERY sci-fi in it and, I'm not a big sci-fi fan. And some of the action scenes were far fetched.
All in all, great scripts, nice effects, sweet acting and a good story.
I'd give it a 3 out of 4 stars.
perhaps 2 and 3/4 stars

Well I am a filmmaker and I liked Cloverfield and thought Indy 4 was alright, not great because there were A LOT of really unneeded over the top things that occurred in the movie but it was still a fun night out it just wasn't all that wonderful as opposed to the other three Indy flicks.

Just watched it.
I actually liked it.
**THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS if you haven't seen it yet****
Homages to the originals, (more importantly Connery on a few levels), good action scenes, good lines.
The aliens were a little.....eh.....
But it was still a good movie nonetheless. I'd rank it above Temple at least. The resemblance to Temple is uncanny though. From voodoo beliefs, to mind control, to the waterfall scene.
Part of me is happy at the last scene of Shia Lebouf almost putting on the hat, part of me is upset because I dislike Shia Lebouf. I'd like to see him run on the series, and cement himself as a serious actor beside Lucas and Spielberg. I also don't think Harrison Ford can do another at his age, let alone his characters age. I know one of the most famous lines of the series is "It's not the age, but the mileage", but I still don't like the idea, so giving the torch to Shia wouldn't be a bad idea. Not to mention he's named Henry Jones as well.

I don't like the idea of continuing it because Shia isn't half has good as Harrison was 25 years ago. Harrison Ford made Indiana Jones iconic. Shia couldn't do that.

Besides the fact Cate Blanchett (by her own admission) had a shitty Russian accent that broke down quite often, I really liked the new Indiana Jones film. Interesting implementation of sci-fi elements, a few of those obligatory snappy one-liners and plenty of the action one would expect from a film in this franchise.
