*When screen comes back to life from the previous fade-to-black of Honest Arny's Boomerang Emporium (we're in Australia this week, you know), we see The Funisher sitting down on a stool in a dark hallway. The sound of water dripping down into a puddle from a leaking pipe can be heard in the distance. Above the Funisher is a flickering light, which provides any illumination in this dreary scene. It's obvious that the bulb is about to give out as the Funisher is in the darkness almost as much as he is in the light. The Funisher is clad in his infamous "Frowning Face" T-shirt and a pair of jeans as he is leaning forward on the stool with both hands clasping a gun. After soaking this scene in for several seconds, we flashback to the split screen of the Funisher and Whitey Ford on the phone while the music of difficulty, choice, and eternal sacrifice plays.*
Ford: "I need you to find Jake Seven..."
*Ford's mouth continues to move, but the sound is cut off as we cut back to the Funisher shakes his head before another flashback.*
Seven: "Am I a super hero?"
*The flashback to Seven's trip ends as we cut back to the Funisher who grips his gun tighter after that phrase. He snarls before talking to himself.*
Funisher: "There is only one hero here."
*Flashback to the Funisher and Whitey Ford on the phone again.*
Funisher: "You want me to what?"
Ford: "Think about it. You know it's something it would do."
Funisher: "I know that, but I also know what you will do once he is funished."
*Back in the hallway, the Funisher sighs and looks up as if looking for someone else to give him the answer he needs.*
Ford: "I'm not asking you to play God."
Seven: "You don't want to disappoint your God, do you?
*Seven gives that pretentious smirk that makes you want to punch him in the face before cutting back to the Funisher. He screams and stands up before firing some rounds down the hall in anger. He kicks his stool away before falling to his knees with his gun in his right hand resting on the ground.*
Funisher: "If I do what you want, I would turn you back into something I hate. What would that make me?"
Seven: "You can still be a Role Model."
*The two different scenes fuse together for the second time as the leaking pipe finally bursts leaving the entire hallway to be rained upon. The Funisher looks up and holds his arms out begging for a solution that he is unable to create.*
Ford: "HELP ME!"
Betty: "Please help him."
*The phone call between Ford and the Funisher along with the Funisher's (as his alter ego of Anthony Jordan) meeting with Betty are spliced together. In the final scene, a tear is shown to be flowing down Betty's cheek. The scene shifts back to a zoom in on the Funisher's eyes, which are closed, but quickly open. A stoic, determined look appears on his face as he stands up in the heavy mist. For the first time, the light appears to be working correctly, not flickering, only the pure glow of illumination. The Funisher walks down the hall as we fade to black.*
